Bob's Case
Bob is a 60 year old male who was brought to the emergency room by EMS. He was complaining of severe chest and upper back pain that suddenly occurred while he was playing with his five-year-old grandson at the park. His past medical history reveals chronic hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes, and a history of heavy smoking. EMS reports the following vitals when they arrived on the scene: HR 115 bpm, BP 145/90 mm Hg, temperature 39.1 C, RR 22, and O2 saturation of 95% on room air. Bob reports a 10/10 pain score. Paramedics gave IV morphine 15 mg while on route.
